recently, i took part in a 30 days green smoothie challenge and i quite liked it! so i thought i could share my favorite green smoothie recipe with you, it’s fresh, healthy, detoxifying and tasty.
– ca. 60g baby spinach
– an apple
– one frozen banana (if the banana is frozen, it gives the smoothie a creamier consistency)
– 1 tsp of cinnamon
– chia seeds (optional)
i always put the ingredients that are harder to mix closer to the blade of the mixer, so the closest one to the blade would be the frozen bananas, then the apple and baby spinach.
i have this really cool smoothie mixer where you screw the blade on the top, so i had to put the ingredients in the other way ;)
add some water and mix until you get the desired consistency! after everything is well mixed, add the cinnamon and blend it for a bit more.
my mixer allows me to take my smoothie with me to work or so in the very container that i mixed it in, but on rare occasions like today, i can enjoy it from the comfort of my home! (and eat a couple of strawberries with it)
